Epistemic Akrasia and Belief‐Credence Dualism

We call attention to certain cases of epistemic akrasia, arguing that they support belief-credence dualism. Belief-credence dualism is the view belief and credence are irreducible, equally fundamental attitudes. Consider case an agent who believes p, has low in thus shouldn’t believe p. argue dualists, as opposed belief-firsters (who say reduces belief) credence-firsters credence) can best explain features akratic cases, including observation beliefs seem be held despite possessing a defeater for those beliefs, that, one simultaneously have confidence very same proposition.
